Wedding suits
The weight of a cloth is an essential consideration in the choice of fabrics for wedding suits. Although generally a heavier weight has more longevity and holds shape better, the location of your wedding may require a more appropriate lightweight cloth, and always remembering a groom may have a little nervous energy anyway, we usually advise a medium to lightweight cloth for a Swedish wedding.

Black tie
Black Tie, also known as dinner suit or, in Swedish, "smoking" is the most widely used type of formalwear today. Mostly used for dinner parties and semi formal events it is also becoming increasingly popular at weddings. For men, the elements of black tie are a suit, traditionally of either black or midnight blue wool or mohair, in which the jacket lapels and trouser braid are of silk or other contrasting material, a white dress shirt, a black bow-tie, a waistcoat or cummerbund, and black patent leather dress shoes.

White tie
White tie, or full evening wear (frack), is the most formal of all male evening dress codes. The white tie rig has stayed pretty much unchanged since the mid 1800’s. It consists of a black tailcoat with matching trousers, white waistcoat, a white wing collar shirt and a white bow tie. If you are staying truly traditional and timeless, white tie is the dress code that makes your wedding images complete.

Shirt, ties, shoes & accessories
Depending on where you feel most at home on the formality spectrum, you can wear anything from a loafer to black oxfords with your suit. A good rule of thumb is that the more formal the suit is, the more formal the shoes should be, and vice versa. A worsted navy suit always looks its best with black oxfords in our opinion, just like a light linen suit will look splendid with a pair of brown suede loafers.
